Each year there will be events in both the Summer and the Autumn for you to enjoy, comprising a selection of:

GUIDED VISITS

We select gardens to visit ensuring that we cover an eclectic range of styles from the formal to the wild, the tranquil to the productive. Within each garden we will focus on a specific area of interest. The owner or head gardener will lead each tour, and in order to maximise the benefit of his or her experience to you, tour numbers will be strictly limited. Each date has been selected to see the particular garden at its very best. Generally these days will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm and, where possible, coffee and lunch are included and there will be an opportunity to buy plants at the end.

WORKSHOPS

All our workshops are held at Cothay Manor. A variety of gardening techniques will be discussed and readily demonstrated in the superb gardens. These will be practical sessions in the morning or the afternoon. If both workshops are booked on any one day we provide a light lunch.

STUDY MORNINGS

Specific aspects of gardening will be explored with experts on location. We will visit Head Gardeners and Nurserymen to hear them speak on their specialist subject.

LECTURES

Occasional lectures on a variety of subjects aim to broaden awareness of the art of gardening.

TOURS

Gardens South West works with hotels in the south west to offer short mid-week breaks for gardeners. We also offer bespoke tours which can be tailored for international visitors.

Gardens South West Vouchers are available in denominations of £20.00, £10.00 and £5.00, to give as presents which are valid for one year.
